Fraser Pithie

Election statement:

Fraser is a retired senior manager of a FTSE 100 company who has lived in Warwickshire all his life.

He cares about his community and has unique experience of serving it: he was a Special Police Constable for eight years and is a former chairman of Warwickshire Police Authority.

Now with the time to dedicate to full-time public service Fraser is driven by one aim: to cut crime across Warwickshire.

After a 32 year career with Severn Trent Water Fraser has the experience to deliver – while making people feel safer and giving local tax payers value for money.

Fraser’s experience of managing operations, customer service, delivering efficiencies and transformational change in a 24/7 critical and regulated service means he understands budgets and the reality of operations.

Fraser says: “Reported crime is down 11% since April, so Warwickshire Police has already shown that it is how police officers are deployed that is crucial not just the number of officers deployed. The force has gone through major change in the past couple of years. I intend to provide stability so officers can build on the crime reductions they are already delivering through greater efficiency.

“However, I do want to see improvements: crime victims receiving timely feedback after contacting the police and keeping continuity of service in local policing teams are just two areas where the service must be improved. I also intend to increase the focus on crime prevention and intervention programmes.

“I want to use my experience to work with the Chief Constable, partnership and voluntary agencies to cut crime and make Warwickshire safer. I don’t trade in spin, I work on facts, say it straight and apply common sense”
