  • Manager of Hartlepool Citizens Advice Bureau for 23 years
  • Vegetarian and daily user of local bus services

  • undertaking a ‘green audit’ of all Police Force operations
  • holding Police and Crime Commissioner ‘advice and listening’ surgeries throughout Cleveland
  • conducting monthly ‘Neighbourhood Crime and Security Walkabouts’ with local residents
  • having more ‘bobbies on bikes’ as an effective means of providing local policing
  • in partnership with other agencies, improving the ability of the Police to deal with ‘neighbours from hell’
  • recognising the importance of confronting and challenging organised crime groups in Cleveland – no matter how large or small these groups may be
  • in an era of the ‘globalisation of crime’, ensure that the Cleveland Police Force works effectively with other UK and international criminal enforcement agencies
