On Thursday 6^th May you get to decide who will be our next Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC). People across North Wales have a clear choice at this election: more divisive politics, or a PCC who will set local policing priorities and work with the Government to get more police on the beat.

I’ve been talking to residents and businesses across North Wales and listening to their concerns. One thing is clear – people want a PCC with the skills and experience to do the job, who will focus on the issues that matter.

I have a clear plan to cut crime and make our communities safe by:

• Shutting down county lines drugs gangs that are preying on young people and devastating communities.

• Deterring antisocial behaviour with more high visibility police patrols.

• Investing in technology and training to enable police officers to tackle online crime.

• Focusing on rural crime, from flytipping to vehicle and livestock theft.

• Working with local communities to make roads across North Wales safer for everyone.

• Providing support to victims of domestic abuse and coercive behaviour.

From my work on the North Wales Police and Crime Panel I know the challenges our police face and understand the different issues that affect communities across North Wales, from Wrexham in the east to Holyhead in the west.

The election on Thursday 6^th May is your chance to elect a PCC with the experience and commitment to deliver a clear plan for North Wales, setting policing priorities in line with local needs and ensuring that communities across the force area have their voices heard.
